Smeeton's removals were a well-established company in Sleaford, which started at the beginning of the 19th Century by Mr Smeeton.
Mr Panton started working for Smeeton's in 1962 as a porter, and after working his way up through the company he took over with his wife in 1982 and it became Smeeton Panton Removals, a small family run business.
Mr Panton worked hard increasing his fleet and staff.
He eventually moved from the premises in Sleaford and had two purpose built warehouses built in Heckington. The office was later moved from Sleaford to the depot at Heckington.
In 1998 Mr Panton joined Britannia Movers International, which gave him access to better rates for part and back loads and opened up the shipping prospects and increased the opportunities for more European work.
Over time, the business has grown and the land has been increased to what it is today.
